Q:We are having some problems regarding the operation of the PCI 8255 interface card. We
cannot have an output on ports a,b,c. We cannot also address the ports since we do not know the base address. Can we send us some technical information on how to determine the base address of the pci card?
A:If you use the PCI 8255 card on WIN98 or WIN2000 or WINXP, you cannot get the base address. Because Windows serials will auto give a base address to the PCI 8255 card.
You can use our components -- DiiOCX.ocx or Declib.dll to control it.

Q:I installed the Software and set it to the right parameters but can not use any com port with Hyper Terminal.
A:If you test Hyper Terminal in WIN98 or WIN95, the Hyper Terminal just can test COM1 - COM4. If the SafLine ports number is over COM4, you couldn't test it. Because Hyper Terminal of WIN98/95 is just default COM1 - COM4, it can't auto detection. If you use Hyper Terminal of WIN2000, it can auto detect serial port.

Q:I am testing it with com 3 and it wont work :(
We currently use the 4Port Multiplexor (ISA) to run an existing DOS based data collection program. Many of our customers currently have this same setup. COM3 is port 1 on multiplexor and gathers scale weights. COM4 is port 2 on multiplexor and communicates with a proface touch
screen. COM5 is port 3 on multiplexor and drives a serial printer. This all works without any drivers loaded in DOS as well as Win95/98. We have recently made a windows based version of our software but unfortunately are unable to communicate with the devices through the 4 Port Multiplexor. We load the PCCOM2000 drivers (from CD) and have also tried the ones you suggested (PCCOM ISA) but we have had no luck.
A:1. Please check your PC have any conflicts between SafLine with other device.
Usually, print-port's IRQ is IRQ7.
If you find any conflict, please change with other IRQ.
2. Please check JP4 setting on yhe SafLine card and dip-switch setting under
the 4Port MUA Box. If JP4 is 1, the dip-switch must be 3 -- ON. Please as
follows:
JP4(on SafLine card) dip-switch(under 4Port MUA Box)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 shorted 3 ON ---- baud=38400
2 shorted 2 ON ---- baud=19200
3 shorted 1 ON ---- baud=9600
