Q：I have tested the card in Windows 2000 and it works OK. We need to put it working with WINDOWS XP. Do you have the DII demostration application for Windows XP? It is very usefull to check if the card is working. I have installed the DII drivers and the demo programm does not appears in Windows XP.

Q：Our test circuit is the following using all jumper’s on opened position (no jumper)

The problem is that the board does not care about the switch positions, the form input buttons is pressed according to relay output not to switch input. You simple can’t make this table with the VB demo program and changing the switches states.

If we make the something with the PCI8 or even the avr08 everything works as expected

Please try yourself making the same thing we do. 

This happen in all PCI4 boards, and we are guessing that this board have serious project error, since is impossible to use the inputs , another option is that we are making a big mistake but we don’t know where, and to be honest I don’t believe on that.

Again I ask you to please reproduce exactly the same circuit we made and try to fill the state table, do not use your own circuit try with our one you will see the same trouble we have.

The following questions still unanswered:

What is the purpose of the dipswitch (SW1) on board?

Clarify the jumper positions for use 18 V as input (We are using opened jumpers) 

Please send the board schematic.

Please do not ship anything to us now , at this time we need writed answers ok.

We are again waiting for detailed comments to try to solve the problem, and we please ask full attention since we are on a “limit” situation.

 

A：1.Please execute "regedit.exe" then select
  "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> DecisionGermany -> Dii -> Devices".
2.Then select the device of PCI 4Photo/4Relay.
3.Then change vaule as follow:
 InputOffset------------>0
 InputPortsInverted----->0
 NoInputChannels-------->8
 PortLength------------->1

 

At last, we want to remind you that  4P4R is designed by "DRY CONNECT", it won't supply any voltage.

Q：I also have a customer that has purchased PCI 8 channel Relay/ 8 channel photo isolator card.  He believes the pin out are incorrect.  When delphi demo program operates CH4, the relay that closes is CH2.

The used method of DecDio.ocx is as same as DiiOcx.ocx so you can reference the dii.pdf page81~99.

Q：We tried with the files you sent (and also receive a CD) after a full cleanup of all old installation and drivers. (Including registry keys) I install the new driver and program. All board’s still unusable at input , the relay is ok, but at this time the symptom is different. I don’t have any signal at input’s then  I press the bottom 3,  the relay 3 turn on, and the input 3 is pressed , but we don’t have nothing on inputs( no signal.), this a erratic reading We try to put signal on inputs and nothing happens, something for all 4 inputs, the problem still the same we can’t use the 4 inputs. Take the opportunity what is the purpose of the dipswitch on board, please clarify the jumper positions for use 18 V as input (We are using opened jumpers) Basically what we want to do is have 4 switches and if we pressed one of then the correspond button will be pressed on screen.

Q：The card we are using is a ISA 8 channel industry control board + a 16 reply output card.

 

A：Sorry sir, we don’t have driver to support win2000/XP.

Please give us few days to modify the new driver for WIN2000/XP.

Q：The problem  is the folowing. All PCI 4 Photo $ relay have the same problem. We have instaled the driver, on a windows 98 machine and after that the board. Pnp regognize the board and finalize the software installation. After that using the  Decision Demo program we can turn On and Turn Off the relay when click or click on the panel. The problem is regarding the photo Input , the relay us  working perfect. The input is alwayss pressed even if we do not conect nothing on the board. We have tried with and without jumper's on Jp1.Jp2,Jp3,Jp4 and the result is the same in any situation. We made the same thing with a PCI 8 relay 8 photo and everthing works , and in that case all input are "upped" and when we aplly the signal they go down. We would like to do the same , bit al PCI Boards our customers have and also the ones on our stock alway apear pressed. Since the problem in the same in all boards, we really don't know what is wrong. We are online waiting for reply. Please follow below way to install the PCI 4Photo/4Relay card:

Step1. Please uninstall the old driver of the PCI 4Photo/4Relay card.

Step2. Please leave all of PCI 4Photo/4Relay Cards then turn off your PC.

Step3. Please turn on your PC then install the new driver.

Step4. Please turn off the PC then insert all of PCI 4Photo/4Relay cards.

Step5. Please turn on the PC then will install all of PCI 4Photo/4Relay cards by auto.

Q：I use “decision\dos\industrial\NewDCs\TEST\test.exe” to test the PCI 8Photo 8Relay card. Why does it ask me to enter “Address”？
